This 1987 Mustang GT 5.0 came in for a texture reduction. Every paint job develops some level of texture, along with pinching and dieback in the clear as it cures. That can happen within a few months or take a year. In my opinion, every paint job benefits from being cut down and refined.
Not every vehicle is a show car that needs to start with a sub-1000 grit wetsand. In many cases, starting with 1500 grit with a softblock goes a long way while preserving clear coat.
This Mustang was wet sanded with 1500, 2000, and 3000 grit, followed by a rotary cut, polish, and protected with @cquartzfinest.
